Birdwatching in northern Dalmatia

Between the Velebit mountains and the Adriatic, the bay of Ljubač makes an ideal base for birdwatchers. Every year, countless migrating birds pass along this coast.

Within an easy drive you will find Paklenica National Park with its cliffs and gorges, the wetland of Veliko Blato on the island of Pag, Lake Vransko, and the Nin salt pans. Bee-eaters are a common and very colourful sight.
